I am a Manchester-based artist who paints in a fresh vibrant contemporary style using various techniques in oil paint. Most of my work is urban Manchester and surroundings. I spend a lot of time in the City Centre sketching from life and have produced a large body of work based on this exceptional city.
In 2015 I had a major solo exhibition at The Salford City Art Gallery entitled Now The North, capturing the essence of the City and its surroundings. This was followed by several major commissions including a large painting of the renovated Victoria Train Station for Network Rail and a series of 10 oil paintings for Cities Of Hope a charity organisation that has used a range of international street artists to create murals on large walls across the Northern Quarter in Manchester. My paintings capture the impact of these major street arts on the urban cityscape.
I paint in my studio gallery at Woodend Mill in Bottom Mossley, Ashton-Under-Lyne. A spacious studio with fantastic light, overlooking the river and canal. Visitors are welcome to visit me in my studio and see my latest work in-progress (by appointment).
